I have continued to read the book,
The Strangers by Albert Camus and the farther I get in to the book it gets a little more detail. Overall its still getting a little better as we go along. The funeral is in a town called
Algiers about eighty kilometers from
Marengo where the child lives. The still doesn't want to see his Maman before her casket is sealed and she is buried. The residents at the place where she lived are only allowed to attend the vigil of someone whose passed and not the funeral. So there were only 4-5 people in total outside the workers that attended the funeral, including Perez, who was teased saying he had a finacee which would have been Maman.
