Whats Going On In World Literature

We just finished up our Chinese literature in World Literature with an open book test over all the stuff we've learned. It was definatly a difficult test for me since I'm not good at taking them in the first place. Though some of the stuff that we did learn was in fact quite interesting it was kinda boring for me because it's weird to learn about another culture that I've never thought about learning about before but I'm sure that down the road, I'll be happy that I learned it. We even saw some videos that our teacher showed up from when she went to Beijing, China last year. Those videos were actually more interesting because they were from the present day and not thousands of years in the past. In a way I wish that I could definatly experience China in my own hands right now. I think that it would indeed interesting to learn whats its like now comparred to thousands of years ago. I love learning about history and what not, but I think Chinese history would be a little bit farther down on my list.

  1. Chinese literature, huh? INTERESTING... I like how YOU are expanding your mind to different kinds of literature, my friend... you read things like Confucius or other Asian literature?

  2. I think it would be very fun to learn about different types of literature. I remember in history class we talked briefly about the different kinds of literature such as Chinese, Greek, British, and Indian.

  3. Nothing can compare to real life experiences but it is important to understand the history of the place to fully comprehend the present.

  4. I am glad you enjoyed the videos, Autumn. It was an amazing experience, but @storiesfromthemindandheart is correct; if I wouldn't have had any historical knowledge of China, the trip would not have been so amazing. The Great Wall was completely fantastic. I doubt I'll ever make it there again, so I tried to savor the moment. I stared at my foot standing on the wall--even took a picture. I hope you get to have amazing experiences like this after you graduate. I am guessing you will...you are young and the world is waiting!!
